A kingfisher struck the railing like a dropped piece of sky. Five people stopped speaking; even grandfather abandoned his opinion halfway through. For once, the youngest did not need to be told to listen. She raised one finger—and the whole family obeyed.
What the water refused to return
We arrived with an itinerary precise enough to defeat surprise. Kerala misplaced it by breakfast. We left with damp hair, coconut on our tongues and one impossible blue bird lodged in the family mythology. The boat brought us back. The morning did not.

I gave Cliqsay a photograph from a family trip. The artwork brought back the feeling of that day, and the little story made it a gift we’ll keep.
I wanted something personal for our anniversary. Seeing a familiar moment reimagined as a painting, with our story beside it, felt much more meaningful than a standard photo frame.
The photograph had been on my phone for years. Cliqsay gave me a way to put that memory on the wall and share the story behind it.
I chose the watercolor style for a picture of my parents. The result felt warm and personal, and the words captured why that ordinary afternoon mattered to us.
